Our top story this week is that you’re advised to change your Twitter passwords. We felt like this was one that couldn’t be overlooked this week as Twitter are urging everybody to change their passwords after discovering a bug which saved passwords in plain text within its system. Now there’s not been any signs of misuse yet but as a precautionary measure it’s best to give your passwords a change. Better safe than sorry! (via The Guardian).

Sick of Insta bullies? – You’ll appreciate Instagram’s latest update. Insta will now filter out any bullying comments. So, if it spots negative attacks on your appearance or character, or threats to a person’s wellbeing or health, it’s offensive comments filter now aims to automatically filter it out. This is a great move towards clearing the socialsphere of negative trolls. (via The Verge).

Instagram is testing a Mute User feature. Sick of seeing all of the posts from your oversharing friends but don’t want to insult them with an unfollow? It’s reported that Instagram are testing out a mute user feature for your feeds. Bring it on we say. It’s a great way to organise your feed without offending anybody. (via Tech Radar).

Get ready to book restaurant tables or buy movie tickets via Insta. We’ve welcomed Insta Shop and now it seems that Instagram are really gearing up to become a major shopping platform as it’s testing out this latest feature. We believe it’s a matter of time before we’re simply booking and buying things like salon appointments via the social platform. Watch this space! (via The Next Web).

Pinterest now helps users to filter beauty tips results by skin tone. To make discovering the right pins for you even easier, Pinterest have released this new beta filter. So, now you can for instance search a red lipstick with the option of choosing whether it’s to match a dark or light skin tone. Also a great tool for helping beauty companies out there.
